The Humber region's top jazz orchestra. The 18-piece band is directed by Alf Stephenson and has been playing big-band jazz since 1969. Their broad repertoire includes music by Stan Kenton, Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, Sammy Nestico, Tom Kubis and other legends. Personel is a mix of professional players and the best amateurs and semi-pros in the area. The sax section includes Len Rangeley and George Wilcox who appeared (as themselves!) in the award winning movie Little Voice staring Jane Horocks and Michael Caine.
