Patrick Wood
has worked with many leading British jazz
musicians such as David O'Higgins,
Denys Baptiste, and Jim Mullen. After
taking time out from bandleading to
concentrate on composing he's now
returned to lead a band with new energy
and new ideas, forming a
collaboration with three friends who are amongst
the most accomplished and
inventive players in the U.K.
Inspired by the great instrumental bands of
the early 1970s, Patrick Wood's
compositions combine jazz, world music,
rock, folk and roots influences in a
way that is both accessible and
sophisticated.
