Big-Band of the Westphalia School of Music

Since 1997, the band's leader Lars Motel, director of the Brass Department at the college, has trained and encouraged the group which consist of lecturers, students and talented young musicians from their region.

For the last three years the band has hosted a monthly concert series "Jazz Kitchen" at Münster's "Hot Jazz Club". Their numerous performances include European and international jazz events and tours of Germany, California and North Africa. The band has made two CD's. The repertoire includes many hits from the golden swing era.

Look forward to the exciting dynamic sound of a well-rehearsed large jazz group.
