Guest blower is trumpet/flugelhorn Roy Norton. He's influenced by Miles Davis and Clifford Brown and has kept musical company with some top players like Dave Newton. Guest pianist is Gerry Spencer. His origins are in Bridlington but he was an important part of the jazz scene in South Africa for many years until moving to that city of good musicians, York, recently. Individual participants, bands and listeners welcome. The house band is yours if you want it Things get going from 8:00pm. Bar stops serving 11:00 Admission £2 ~ everybody |
