Andrew graduated in 1999 from Leeds College of Music with a first class honours degree in jazz studies. Later on that year, Andrew won the prestigious national award 'Young Jazz Musician of the Year', and went on to complete a weeks residency at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London to much acclaim.
Andrew is busy performing at jazz venues and festivals all over the country with his own quartet. He has also toured in Holland alongside the notable trumpet player Ack Van Rooyen. Andrew’s eponymous debut album features Peter King, Tina May and Dave Newton and at the moment Andrew is writing and recording his second album. Andrew’s lyrical interpretations of the jazz repertoire reveal his warm tone quality and innate sense of melody, earning him a fast growing reputation as one of the countries finest young musicians. Andrew also teaches trumpet at various schools in Yorkshire.
